December 12, 2010 On-line version of Insafe Family e-Safety Kit re-produced in Armenian by Media Education Center with support of World Vision.

The web-site is based on the printed ‘Family e-safety kit’, which was developed by the Insafe network and Liberty Global/UPC within the framework of the EC's Safer Internet programme.

The main focus of the online kit is to create a fun interactive environment for children to learn about eSafety issues. The online kit includes educational games, developed with the help of European Schoolnet's pedalogical experts.

The eSafety kit online promotes ‘enhancing skills’ by helping to ensure that people are able and qualified to use digital products and services safely, securely, and effectively.

The family toolkit consists of a parent’s guide, an activity-based guidebook designed for children between 6-12 years old, stickers, a family certificate and situation cards.

e-Safety Kit guides families with children aged between 6 and 12 years through the basics of the internet. Colour-coded chapters highlight four key e-safety themes: Security, Communication, Cyberbullying and Entertainment.

Through equal awareness of risk and remedy, localised useful links and contacts, fun activities and challenging discussion topics, the kit aspires to spark discussions about security, privacy, respect, codes of conduct etc.
