A gathering of 250 participants marked the launch of this year’s Safer Internet Day activities in Armenia. Parents, school teachers, and NGO representatives came together at the Yerevan Secondary School named after Anton Chekhov, located in the heart of the capital, to discuss children’s online behavior and related risks.
This was the second year Armenia celebrated Safer Internet Day, attracting growing interest from diverse segments of society.
As part of the initiative, the Media Education Center conducted a public opinion survey involving 250 parents and teachers to assess attitudes toward cybersecurity, media literacy, and Internet accessibility.
In addition, the Media Education Center produced a new Internet Safety Guide for Teachers, Parents, and Children within the framework of Safer Internet Day 2010.
